well without a/c in my truck i am finding that it REALLY sucks. i was wanting to tint the windows in my truck with the stuff you buy at walmart, i have installed it in my other truck with fair-poor results, mostly because around the edges there always seem to be grits of dirt and whatnot, prior to installing i wash as god as i can with windex then wipe with rubbing alcohol. does anyone have any tips on how to get a moderate to professional look out of it?

If you don't have a/c you should be rolling the windows down anyway, so what good would tint do?

Park so that you'll be facing the afternoon sun, but stick one of those cheap, folding cardboard sunshield things behind the windshield.

use a dab of dishsoap in a spray bottle. soak the clean window with solution, place tint on it, soak top of tint, squigee the water out, leave alone for 24 hrs.

What kind of tint is best to resist UV/heat? The kinda that's reflective, but not dark?

also i cut the tint a little bigger, put it on window(squigee it) after it has taken a bit then use sharp razor to cut it on the glass. also get a good squigee(am i spelling that right?)

takes a bit o practice but by the 3-4 one ull have figured it out

oh yeah slight reflective is way better btw. (check local laws on how dark or refective u can get away with if u go to much)
