First, is it "molding" or "moulding" ? :dunno:

Ok, I bought a topper for my Dodge and it's got some small things to fix. My first item is some 1/2" wide, paint matched rubber-ish trim along the bottom edge of the topper is coming loose, what is the best product to use to glue it back on? The surface under the trim that it sticks to is painted and the trim itself does not touch the truck so there's no stress on it, I think it's just a bumper edge to protect the topper.

Body shops I dealt with used 3M double faced tape on that type of thing,or the 3M Plastic & Emblem adhesive back in the day..
There may be other stuff out now ,it was 20 years ago I used to sell paint & body supplies and auto parts..

i'm not exactly picturing what you want to do, but if the 2 Bob mentioned aren't it, than it would be 3M weatherstrip adhesive... bit thicker than plastic & emblem..
