.....by the modulator. is a 78 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 203, having trouble telling if its a th400 like the seller states or a th350 since thats what most of them had.

I know someone might see a resemblance, but i have yet to go see the truck in person, just going off the pic he sent me.

wow, th400 since the modulator is by the exhaust pipe and driveline, and my 79 3/4 ton 4x4 had a 400/203 in it as well and it was nothing special...

I just read on here somewhere at 95% of the 3/4s had th350/np203s (as does the 76 3/4 4x4 on the farm) but you could have special ordered the th400 or with a camper special edition. On the id sheet in the glovebox it states mx1 special order. Just repeating what i was told, but kinda happy its a th400, but now i want it more lol.

Why not a picture of the pan instead since its very viewable under the rig? A modulator is kind of up there a bit on the side and the pan is right underneith the truck.

the 400/203 was in a lot of 3/4 tons in 77,78 and 79, seen a bunch actually. the mod is on the pass side above the driveline and frame is what gave it away. My 74 3/4 ton was a 350/203, so I know what your saying. What a great pic that guy sent you, haha..Btw, 77 was the first year for a 4x4 th400, so 76 would definately not have one.

Me and dad wondered the same thing  But i think dad was trying to get him to tell him where the modulator was, since dad is used to checking that rather than the pan.

never knew that, thanks for the info. Im still learning about what gm did offer and didnt offer year to year, getting better as i go.
