Between frame rail storage?

So this spring I'm going to modify my flatbed and ditch the aluminum boxes. Small side note, dont cheap out when your buy tool boxes cause all my hinges ****ing froze on my side boxes...

I'm thinking about stripping off the planking and doubling the frame so the existing deck is a frame and then setting the gastank up between the existing frame and the new frame. I'm also thinking about putting in an air tank and a plastic tough box recessed into it.

Any thoughts? Comments? Idea input?

I'm also thinking that I will cap the two deck heights with a tube tailgate to hold my hi-lift, spare tire, and some cans.

And I'd now that I'm going again on the truck I'm probably gonna squeeze a HF 10,000lb winch between the rear frame rails since I have a rain check to get one for $320.

As you can see I wanna cut reliefs for the wheel wells. I plan on stepping up to 38 or 40in BFG KM2s down the road once 1 tons are in and the 36s are shot.

Idk got a million ideas going through my head for version two now. I still want to put that HF bender to use and make some HREW hoops front and back for kayak racks.

I had some time now with the idea of cutting a section of my bed and replace it but deeper so i can add storage space.

Something like this sunk into the bed so just the lid is exposed over the deck.

On my 39 I have set it up so I can set the custom tank, batteries and some ammo boxes between the frame rails. And that's with running dual crossover 4 link. Flat bed will be aluminum.

Nor built yet. Laid out masking tape and string lines to make sure it will all fit. I like the above idea for a truck frame.
