beware, this is not a 60

Are you sure its not a ball joint 60? Its tough to tell from the pictures. Many 3/4 ton dodges have ball joint 60 fronts. I forget if they are driver or passenger drop though.

It is from a 3/4 ton and the hubs are not big enough to be a 60. It is either a 10 bolt or most likely a Dana 44. The 14FF spindles look pretty ****ed and there was obviously water in that diff as is evident by the highwater rust mark on the ring gear.

the d60 is upside down... kinda hard to see if it has kingpins or not.

No kingpins you can see the bottom of the ball joint. A Dana 60 has kingpins on the bottom also.:D

Buy it if you want but dont be surprised when it is a 44. It is def a Dana axle but to me the hub size and the ball joints make me think it is a 44.

It just looks small for a 60 to me.

Haha, I just realized that it is paired with the FF14 bolt that came from the same truck:doah:

That means its probably pretty unlikely that its a 60 from a dodge then, huh?

is that preload bolts on the carrier caps? a 44 doesn't have those does it, that could be a clue as to its identy...couldn't it

Uh that is the internals of the 14FF that bolt holds the side adjusters locking tab:rolleyes:

I don't want it ha ha... I guess my eyes aren't that keen to see the difference between a kingpin and balljoint axle. I still don't have that knowledge yet. Thanks :D

You can also see the seat area where the 4th u-bolt sits under the pumpkin....

Its definitely a 3/4 ton front and it looks like a D44 to me since the cover is more shaped like the 60.

And yes, I see ball joints on the bottoms of the knuckles.

Someone should bash this seller and get him for false advertising...

maybe...look at the bolt pattern closely on the close up of the diff. the bolts seem to be evenly spaced not 3 in each upper corner and 2 in th lower corners like a dana pattern

Look at the rotors and backing plates. 3/4 ton stuff, not 1 ton.

those spindles on the 14ff look HAMMERED.

I wouldn't mind having the front axle for my blazer. I already have a 3.73 geared 14 bolt.

I did it in a friendly way:
---
I saw your pics, you might want to rephrase your auction, that's not a Dana 60 front axle. It's a 3/4 ton Dana 44. Big difference. If you look at the webbing around the differential cover, it should say 60F and I would wager it don't.

Just a friendly warning, wouldn't want you to get burned / have a potential buyer get angry.
---
Let's see what happens. I'll post up if he replies.

before I started this thread I politely told him that the axles were not what he said they were and that he would end up with a very angry buyer if they did not look closely at the pictures before bidding.

hmmmm my d44
