I have 2 BFG's that are showing wear, they are cracking all over but still hold air. I ddnt buy them new, they came on my truck when I bought it. They still have a ton of tread left on them so im wondering if BFG warranty this problem?

It sounds like a dealer problem (where you got the truck).
Since you didn't buy them new/original owner, and they're probably a year or two old BFG won't or shouldn't warrant them.

I'll agree. It's probably age. Somewhere between 6 to 8 years tires will often begin to crack. It does effect their soundness but how much and how fast I don't know.

I'd say you're sh!t out of luck. Cracks are normal wear and tear even if you don't put any miles on them. Tire cracks are like people: as they get older, they get wrinklier and in this case, cracks in the tires.

post up the complete dot # off the sidewall. thay will prob be on the black wall side. then i can tell ya how old thay are.
They are probably older than the dirt they roll on. The only way to know for sure is to check the date code on the side wall.dasanii19 said:

They are prob older, my dad has a set of A/T's on his 02 serria, we had a problem with one that the tread seperated from the rest of the tire, but it was replaced for free, other then that we've had no problems. I doubt you can have them replaced since you didn't buy them.

Some of the tire shine products can actually lead to premature dry rotting, so you may do them more harm than good.

Take em to wal-mart. They'll warranty anything,my buddy took back some tire's with great tread that were a few year's old off a car in the field and had them warrantied.
I'm sure there's a limit to what they'll do,but we know the people at T&L at walmart.
I know tire's warranty is usually based on tread life and tread wear,i've never heard of a time span.

I inquired about dry rot cracks on a BFG tire at Discount Tire a few years back. They told me that BFG will warranty out a tire that is less than 5 years old, based on the date code of manufacture. After that time, they don't consider it a defect.
