hey all, I need to remove the steering arm to place a block underneath. In order to get it off do I just smack it ?

if it doesnt pop off when you remove the 4 bolts, you should probably look into replacing your kingpin springs while its apart. every one i've ever removed has just popped up when you loosened the bolts.

Mine came right off from the springs tension when I removed the bolts.

I must say look into crossover...Its not that expensive and can save lots of trouble, possibly lives! I busted this 1 after 1 year and luckily it was in a driveway backing a trailer 40 miles from home..That sucked! No steering. But if you do use the block the arm should pop right off with a hammer.
