Bidiesel Options

I have a question for the group that involves our more enterprising minds:

Has anyone tried using Waste Vegetable Oil for fuel in Suburbans? If so, how well did it work? Are there any chevys that do better with it than not? How well do the turbos do?

I am starting a biodiesel deal here at home in Mn and my wife has a VW TDI that will do well with it. I figure dropping from $3.00/ gal to $.75/ gal in fuel is a good deal.

I thought maybe some of you have tried it and wanted to see how well a big block motor deals with it.

Be carefull with the VW TDI, if it's newer it might not take it well, the older ones are good.
The 6.2l seems to take these things well, just make sure you are doing all the cleaning and filtration extremely well and you should be OK.

Do lot's of research though. Personally I think it's a viable option but have read enough to know there are some good opinions on both sides and what may work for some may not work for you.

BTW:

Biodiesel will run you $.75 to $1.00 a gallon to refine or brew. Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) will run less because it isn't as processed as Biodiesel.
