hey
ive got a 89 suburban with a 454 bored .030 over, that was a reman'd motor. the engine is an 86, and i swapped on an edelbrock tbi intake doug thorley headers and it runs good. i also have a chip for it but for now im running the stock chip.
its got the stock "peanut port" heads and i would like to get some more power out of the engine. I was looking at the comp cams computer controlled camshafts the one from 1000-5200 rpm. Does anyone have any experience with this cam? or have any suggestions for a different cam setup? i was also looking at the edelbrock performer cam, because it would match my intake....
i might also be interested in getting a set of heads. Would the chevy casting #781 heads work on my tbi intake? i found a place that sells these heads for 250 each, reconditioned.
thanks
