just seein if anybody could give me an idea what this stuff is out of... numbers on the rear of the block are H308 on passenger side and 14015445 on the drivers side. under the flywheel on the block theres a small M and I with a 2 under that and a HI PERF under the 2. I know its a 454, because theres a GM 7.4L cast into it. on my passenger cylinder head, starting from the firewall side and working forward, theres L18 76, GM 7T, PASS, and 358049. really, i'd like to know the heads so i can figure out what type of plugs need to go in. the plugs i pulled out today looked like there was some sort of blow by happening because they had oily gas on em. any help is appreciated... thanks

The block is...14015445...454.......78-90...2 or 4 bolt
The heads are...353049.....73-84...oval...OPEN...454, 122cc chamber, 255/119cc ports

You mixed up an 8 for a 3, easy to do since the numbers are sometimes hard to make out.

In the future this site has tons of info. http://mortec.com/
