Alright guys, hadta pull my intake today, and of course the hose that runs from the front of the intake down into the waterpump was stuck, i couldnt get it off for nothin, so I hadta slit it.

Now the problem is, I dont know what hose I used. I know a regular piece of heater hose wouldnt work, it would just crimp shut, I used a formed hose for some other vehicle and cut it to make it work, but I dont recall what the application was.

From the factory on the 454s it was a formed hose, and 3 yrs or so ago, no one remade it and GM didnt have it. Napa listed a piece of heater hose, but of course that didnt work.

Just wonderin what you guys are using.

try Carquest, or Autovalue or some others, there has to be a formed hose out there somewhere. Or ask if you can check out the hoses they have hanging on the wall, should be able to make something work.

yeh thats what I did last time, took awhile thats why I was wondering if anyone knew an application that would work lol.

ill take a look tomorrow at work and see if i can come up with something that will work for ya...or at least a part number that will help

i bought some hose for a nissan and cut it down,

just go down there and find one witht he correct elbow shape and size

A short piece of heater hose will work, i've done it many times. The other option is to find a hose of the proper size with the correct curve in it and cut what you need.

Ok, you may now worship me.... :D

Although I can't remember the I.D. of the hose you need.

If Josh too, had asked me, I probably could have saved him some burned fingers from trying to mold a standard piece of hose... :D

Anywho... glad this will work..
