Alright some of yall may have seen my other threads a few weeks ago about my tranny and transfer case issues I was having. Here's what's going on now, so what used to be happening was when I would accelerate from a stop the truck would hop, like axlehop almost, then that stopped and it started just clunking like from the transfer case area like the chain was jumping teeth or something. Well 2 weeks later here's what's going on now...

I hit the gas to accelerate from a stop, no clunking or nothin just the truck will hit like 2000 rpm and it should be accelerating pretty quick but it still accelerated slow. It's like the engine is going fast but somewhere in the tranny or t case the power is being lost... It's really sluggish. I'll hit the gas normally and the truck will be at 2000 rpm but it's still just crawling up to speed... What do you guys think is going on.

I really need help asap as this truck is my daily driver and I can't afford to have it die on me. Any and all answers apreciated and feel free to ask me more questions if that would help you give a better answer. Thanks a lot.

sounds like a trans issue.. but drivetrain spec's would be helpful..

Weird thing is the trans was rebuild by what I thought was a reputable shop... Maybe not. Dam thing only has like 2500 miles on it

ESPECIALLY since it's been into recently, I'd be at that trans shop first thing in the morn.. sh*t happens...

I'm gonna get up with the guy tomorrow. just to make sure this does not sound like a transfer case problem to yall? I don't think it is but just wanted to ask before I tell the tranny guy his work is bad.

if he knows transmissions he'll know transfer cases too.

Didn't think so. The thing is this shop is an hour away so I'm not gonna drive the truck there. I'll have to pull the tranny myself and take it there. I'm gonna go by another shop here in town though tomorrow morning and see if the guy can tell me what's going on. You think somebody who knows old trucks like this will be able to diagnose it just by driving it?

Well here is what happened this morning... Pulled up to a stop sign, when I went to go, hit the gas and nothing, truck won't move. Reverse still works though but forward is gone. So pulling it this weekend and going back to the shop it was built at.
