BIG problems with the blazer :(

yeah, thats the type

you really need to learn how to set the flame, you should be able to get a book on how to weld/torch from your local library

get the smallest blue flame you can, hold the flame on the spark plug piece for 10 seconds or so, just get it to start glowing red, then turn off the torch for a little while, let the head cool, then do it again, then quick turn off the torch, and tap in the easy-out, it should screw right out(cross your fingers, but this works 99% of the time)

:waytogo: thanks allot thats what i needed to know, i dont have to worry about gas or anyhting do i? im gunna go to the bank in the morning and ill order the torch while im at work, hopefully ill have it soon.

i really dont think you need that kit. Doesnt sound like your gonna use it alot and it aint cheap. Just get a mapp gas torch from home depot, you should be able to get the plug red hot.

Yea, for just gettin it hot enough, MAPP will get it red. I'd want to be very experienced with a torch before I'd stick it down there, which holes are they?

too late, allready ordered it. fin home depot. they sent me an arc welder though. now they charged me for it again and ill have to wait till friday to get it and another week befor i get the refund for the other one.

i ordered this one though cuz obviously i needed a torch now but i also wanted a welder anyway, so this can do both. its a little harder to weld with but they work pretty good, ill figure it out.

That's what I've been considering too for the trail. Trading gas against a Weldernator.

update

just thought id let you guy know whats going on, so far two weeks later the spark plugs are still stuck  :dunno: i got six of them out but the hardest 2 are still stuck. im sure you guys know which ones, on the passenger side the 2 midle ones are stuck i cant see the one in the back and havent really tried too much to get it out but the other one i really fd up. i told you guys i got the wrong thing first well when i got the torch i went and got gas for it the next day and they gave me an empty tank so then i got another tank wich was also empty the tird one was good but the thing still didnt work. the check valves were stuck, i fixed them but now i dont know how to use the torch :doah: . i didnt spend too much time with it though i couldnt get it to stop smokeing so i am giveing up and getting it towed to a mechanic :( this will be the most expensive tune up ever. but at least i got cool new tools to play with.

btw i am gunna learn how to use the welder, the mechanic i am bringing it to is my friends brother and he says his brother will teach me how to use it properly.

Well i tried to persaude you into buying the mapp but who doesnt like fire? Once you learn how to use the torch you'll be happy with it, extremely useful getting rid of rivets if you plan on a shackle flip and for stubborn bolts. Good luck.
