My wife and I were watching TV friday or saturday night (at like 3 am), and we saw "Extreme TV" or something like that. Anyway they were playing footage of Moab, and I thought, "well, this is cool, but it doesn't really look extreme", and then they showed what they were leading up to; a K5 came down a trail little too fast and ended up flipping half way down the trail. I don't know anything about Moab, so I don't know what part this was, but it was on a really tall, steep, narrow rock slope. I'm just wondering if anybody else saw that, and if it was anybody here's truck, since it was a K5. It looked like the driver lost his brakes or something, but did a pretty good job keeping the truck from rolling off until it reached what looked like a place of least destruction....
Hope everyone was ok. I think the tv announcer said everyone walked away, but they didn't say how the truck came out of it.

That footage is several years old. That fin they were on is called Lions Back. The wife was driving and after turning around at the top the rig lost its brakes. They were lucky that they got as far down as they did before going off the side.

Off to the left side of the fin (as you're facing it) near where it's tallest, there is a cross and some pictures of two local kids that fell off the very top in a Toyota one night. Their bodies were found the next day.

man that's terrible. I remember the announcer calling it the lion's back now. They left out anything about anyone dying there, though.

Nobody died in the Blazer. The ground around the bottom is all sand (since all the rocks in the area are sand stone!

). The Blazer went off nose first, dug in and did an endo onto the roof. That's a scary video for sure!

The kids that died went off the side at the very top.
