Big Stripe

I just found this pic that my Dad took about 4 years ago out on Smith Lake. His pontoon is set up with down riggers for trolling deep and a state-of-art depth sounder for finding the big ones. Some 40+ pounders have come out of this lake but the biggest I've ever caught was 22 lbs.
Thats me with a 18 pounder. It's alot of fun fighting these big fish when they are down 60-80 ft. deep.

Stripers have got to be the funnest freshwater fish to catch, IMO! I've caught some monsters out of Lake Texoma.

This is a big Striper!
I went to Valley Rod nd Gun in Clovis Ca. and saw this guy. This thing was 49Lbs, the next week he caurght a 41 Lber and the very next week caught a 62.75 Lber!!!

There are some huge fish not far from here, I have only been Striper fishing once! i guess I need to get on the ball.
