I have an '89 K5 with the stock non-tach dash. (I don't even think the tach was an option in '89.) Anyway I want to purchase the small gas gauge from LMC that goes in the blank in the cluster of small gauges. Qustion is do I have to do any calibrating from the stock large gauge to the small gauge?

Thanks,

Brendan

i dont know if you will have issues calibrating however last year when i was researching the same type swap it became apparent that its not as easy as just swapping gauges/wires/locations due to the printed circut panel that links the gauges. Theres thread about the whole thing, i forget where buts is somewhere, pull a search and see what comes up.......and if you can pull it off let me know. id love to get rid of the giant gauge.

The diameter of the gauge doesn't matter. You can replace the large gauge with a small gauge but you will have to repin the connection to the circuit board.
