So, Im getting my 1984 ready for my 15 year old to borrow for a few years while in high school. Hopefully both make it through in decent condition. He wants some big wheels. That's fine. Keeping my 15" eagles to put back on when he graduates. Anyway, I bought some 2017 snowflakes with BFG M/Ts on em. To my surprise they won't fit front cause the manual hubs won't fit through the center hole. Do any of you know right off if there is a particular ghetto wheel that will fit this rednaked truck?? Heck, most of the kids on craigslist whose dad paid 3 grand for their setup, are all too willing to sell much less than a thousand bucks. But none of them know what the heck manual hub is when I ask what the inside diameter hole is. Any help is appreciated. He's paying for big wheels, Im just trying to help him get em at a steal on craigslist

The wheels you purchased are for 2 wheel drive, or non solid axle 4wd.
It might be difficult to find a used set of 20+ wheels.

They gone. Solt em. For a small profit for dad of course. Gotta pay the piper! If he pays for it and it doesn’t make it any more dangerous, I told him to go for it! He wanted flashy like maybe some spinners and 36” mudders!!. I figure if he can save up 3k to burn on wheels and tires my Blazer might make it back to me in close to good shape. A boy that’s cut grass to drop 3k worth of skin on some wheels and tire ain’t gonna A: Get those fancy wheels anywhere near mud B: drop it in 4low without the hubs in and do burnouts and baby wheel stands in the Jitney Jungle parking lot (like my crazy brother did in it in 89’. That did get us a tranny and rear end upgrade. Don’t know how to add pics to my profile on here but I feel like before pics should be shown. It could be a rough ride over the next 3 years boyz!! And ladies
 
20+" wheels were coming out after locking hubs had gone away on 1/2-tons. You would probably have more luck finding giant wheels for 4x4 if it was 8-lug. You know, bro-dozer wheels.
 
Ran into the hub issue with my Jeepster. Same pattern as a JK but locking hubs. Took 99% of the available rims off the table for me. I gave up and still rock steelies with hub caps. Good luck with the search.
 
Think easy solution is 8lug swap up front and 14bsf or 14bff for rear and then the options really open up for 18”-24” (or bigger) wheels. Those swaps are very easy and straight forward and would make your son happier in long run.

Plus, with 8 lug, your market to re-sell the wheels is much larger, so wont be a problem to unload them in a couple years.

Edit: forgot you have 15’s you want to swap back on afterwards. Could get a 14bsf (they have 6 lug and 8 lug shafts) and do the 8 lug swap as i mentioned above, and then swap back to 6 lug in an afternoon once he graduates, so you could run your 15” eagles

As long as you have a 4” lift or more, you can probably handle wheels from XD, Fuel, etc name brands that are out there today. Check the wheels out on CustomWheelOffsets.com and consult their staff to ask about the hubs / hole size. You can search for trucks with the same wheels.

Try Fuel Krank 20x12 -44

You may need 2” spacers if the negative offset isn’t enough for the wheels to stick far enough to avoid rubbing.
 
New driver is gonna curb the crap out of them. Be better to have tough rubber sidewalls.
