Yuck! I don't like. I can't see Bigfoot as anything but a Ford, and yes they always had BBF engines in the past.

I've been chatting with a few BF employess thru Facebook PM's and they say this is a one-time deal only.
MLB contacted BF to represent the All Star game and GM has ties to MLB so BF switched to the GM body to make the deal even sweeter. While switching bodies, they switched to a Merlin engine, too.
Unfortunately, for the GM fanatic, BF will go back to the Ford body and engine when the All Star game is over.
Again, this is a one-time deal only.
And for those who don't know, this isn't the first time BF has had its name on a GM vehicle. They built the SEMA Chevy which is just a mall cruiser.

I also talked to the Owner of Warn Industries today about it. They are the ones that build all of BF's special locking hubs. And yes according to him (via the owner of BF) that GM is now the official sponsor of BF, no longer Ford.
Ford dropped BF back in '07 because BF refuses to participate in the Monster Jams performances of wrecking and rolling. So Ford got Blue Thunder on the wagon to carry the name.
Who's the defector/traitor there?
I don't mind if GM sponsors BF now as they already have the SEMA Chevy with BF's name all over it. Its good for BF and Midwest Four Wheel Drive to show the public what they're capable of building other than just monster trucks. Good for GM as they can be proud to have 2 of their brands with the BF name on them. Good for BF so they can gain more non-Ford fans and also gain more interest in the auto world. I'd like to see them build a Dodge with a Hemi in one of the 'foots.
BTW, which locking hubs are you referring to with Warn? If its the old school type on the 5 ton Rockwells, those have been long, long discontinued. I've already sent a few emails to Warn and BF along with other places to request the 2.5 and 5 ton lockouts. All said the same thing: discontinued.

I fail to see where Bigfoot would really need Ford as a sponsor. I think Bob has enough cash on hand to cover things. Not like Ford has been supplying those "factory" tear away fiberglass bodies anyways. Matter of fact other than the BBF I would seriously doubt there is a single Ford part on a Bigfoot truck. I would even go so far as to say the BBF were cast by someone other than Ford.
That's all here nor there. Bigfoot is a Ford and needs to stay that way, at least that's the way I see it.

i remember growing up the 1st ''monster truck'' i ever saw ,iirc it was a big blue ford, called king kong...i remember seein it in the rags & in some movie, they were going to salvage yard & it was closed w/cars parked in the drive, they honked the air horns & drove over, i can't remember the name of the movie anymore, but it supposed to be 1st monster truck,..before any others i'm not sure when it was..late 70's or very early 80's

hmmm...says it was BF in the movie..i think it was "Take This Job & Shove It''...i remember seein that ''king kong'' truck in the rags before that movie & i thought it was same truck...i was 9 in 1981

found some old pics of Bigfoot from 82 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in Springfield, Ill. not to far from Chandlers HQ in Missouri. Everybody stopped to look when this thing went by.
And he did indeed run Ford 460 blocks in most of his trucks. Read that in a mag a couple years ago. I think his first car crush was in 79 or 80 in Missouri. the rest is history.
