Does anyone know of a larger capacity fuel tank for either side of a 85 pick-up? I need to keep spare tire and was hoping to eliminate the whole fuel selector switch. Just checked aero-tank and the other big one but nothing for my year. thanx

they make a stock 19 or 20 gallon (somewhere around there) you can only fit it in a longbed truck. I have looked too I don't think they make an aftermarket tank for our trucks anymore

Its like a 19 or 20 but I was hoping for @30 or greater. Sucker uses a LOT of gas on the beach!

Yeah I did some searching and didn't come up with anything. Everything I found is going to end up being a custom job with a universal tank.

only place that might have one would be LMC, but I don't think they list anything. If you find something, please post it here. I'm in the same situation... two 16's are a pain in the but @ 12mpg.

LMC has 20 gallon side tanks for longbeds or they have 25 gallon rear mount tanks, but they are for 75-81 trucks which doesn't really help you. There are tool boxes that are also secondary fuel tanks. Have you looked into those? Not sure where to get them, but I'll look around. Here is the link to LMC.

Thanx for the replys, unfortunately I carry a camper in the back so there can be no stuff in the bed. That's also the reason I have to keep the stock spare mount. The search continues.

Hmm well I guess your just SOL :haha: I thought that Xtream did a custom tank from some company once, but I can't seem to find it.
