Just a thought I had. I've never been to a Blazer Bash yet (finances, kids, -I realize that's redundant!). However, with the upcoming 40th anniversary of the birth of the K5 and a few years's warning what would happen if we'd put together the BIGGEST K5 RALLY EVER (Blazers and Jimmy's).

I'm envisioning it in Colorado(home to CK5, and fairly central geographically), -Breckenridge, Steamboat, Red Rocks, or somewhere.

How about getting help (marketing/promotion/exposure/exhibits, etc) from GM, and any of the parts houses, or any other business, etc. that has anything to do with K5'S. And this would be only K5's, no baby blazers or anything (imho, GM f***ed up and should have left the Blazer name on the full size, but that's another beer.)

What do you all think?

3 years would be time to gather $ and/or finish our CK projects.

no way jason would be a spectator,
not to mention the fact his truck could just about out wheel any truck on this site

just about is right...hes in a whole nother league... hell one of his shocks cost more than most peoples whole suspension....:eek1:

that would be the bomb. :thumb: The only thing stock left on my rig will be the firewall/windshield and the frame (most of it) though... think GM will show me the love?

I have major in's with ford but not chevy. does any one have a corporate IN with them? we would need to get a hold of marketing and should do it now.

Shoot, I would make the drive to colorado for that! My son would actually be old enough to enjoy it too! If this gets rolling, and you need additional hands to help make calls or whatever, let me know!

Sure....GM is VERRRRRY profitable these days!!! :D

If they're not completely out-of-business by then, maybe they can send us some t-shirts or something.....

A commemorative emblem for the truck (like maybe a slightly revised "K5 Blazer" fender emblem) would be a sweet giveaway/souvenir for the event.

:usaflag:
