just swaped to one tons on my k5 and im getting ready to have good drive shafts made. i was wondering what are the strongest yokes for 14bff's and d60's? as far as i know, 1450 style for the floater and 1410 for the 60 seem to be the best, correct? also, if you have part numbers or know good places to get these pieces, that helps too :D

no such 1450, you probably meant 1350. 1350 and 1410 are the strongest that are easy to get. you can go bigger if you've got the cash

in current production trucks your two main biggest ujoints are 1410 and 1480. Some dodge cab and chassies have a 1550 ujoint which is really big. I will be making a post pretty soon showing my par numbers and 1480 shafts that i am in the process of building

1350 is the stock size on a 60 right? anyone got a part number for a 1410 for a 14b?

Chevy D60 use 1310 joints at the yoke and 1480 joints at the axle shafts.

1410 yokes are overkill, you will break a shaft or axle u-joint before you break a 1410 (remember that the axle joints see 4.xx times more torque than the driveshaft joints).

Here are some yokes

a 1410 will have a good bit more workable degree than a 1350, correct? thats mainly what im after. the way its looking, i think im goin 1410 front and rear

Hi-jack on.

What about guys with 208 and 241 cases? Any 1350 or1410 yokes?

Hi-jack off.

yes to the 241, I had 1350 at the slip yoke and 1350 on the 14b ff, now that I added a SYE I run 1350 at the t-case and 14b ff

ok, so if i go 1410 on both front and rear axles, how about the 205 end? is there a 1410 yoke for the t-case end?

if you put a 32 spline ford front output you have almost endless options for yokes. not so much the stock 30 spline.

so, what are the options if i dont change any output shafts? are the stock ones about the best, or...?

the rear output is 32 spline which has all kinds of cv flange or yoke options. all of what you have mentioned before. the front has only three options if i remember right. the stock front yoke for the spicer cv style shaft or the flange from later models. i have also seen just a 1310 yoke.

if you have 30 spline the stock flange on a 205 will let a 1350 double cardian bolt to it, for the rear if you are going to use a flange you need the flange and an adapter to a larger bolt circle
