I recently purchased an '88 2wd Suburban that has 235/85-16 dry rotted tires on it. I have some stock wheels with 305/70-16 all terrains on them. I was thinking about throwing them on for now instead of buying a new set of tires. Any ideas on the largest tire that will go on a 2wd Sub without trimming? Street driven only.
I looked through the tire thread at the top here, but didnt see any 2wd

Not real sure what exactly you're trying to say here. Maybe that a 32"ish size tire will work?

What you have on it now is 31.5" and the tire you want to put on is 32.8" and is 1.5" wider. It's just the specs for both tire sizes. Not sure if a 33" tire will fit a 2 wheel drive Sub without interference. try and see.

I made the swap this afternoon and everything seems to be fine. I did have to remove the running boards, but those we're coming off any way. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Here are some pics of the tire/wheel swap. The wheels are factory 16" wheels so the sweet hubcaps even swapped over:D They were very close to scrubbing with the running boards installed, but I was removing those anyway.
