Has anyone had any issues with Rough Country Springs loosing there teflon spacers and when flexed just a little (e.g going around a curve, going over bumps, etc) making a sound similar to fatigued metal? Has anyone experienced anything similar. The springs are the only thing that I can trace the sound to. It doesn't make the sound on flat surface moving straight ahead? Any suggestions on the culpret? The sound seems to be coming from the rear of the vehicle.

The lift has been on the K5 for 3 years and hasn't seen any stressing flex.

I ran those springs for about a year and they spit out most of the spacers but I never heard any noises from them. I think my 36" swampers and the flowmaster took care of most of my noises though. :wink1:

How old are the u-joints? What, if anything, was done to re-set the pinion angle after the lift? Have triple checked your u-joints? Pull the shaft and pop the caps off the u-joints and have a look. No grease= squeak. Thats my bet. :wink1:

thanks for the reply's. Yea I had my u-joint's checked that was my first thought when I heard the noise. The more that I think about it, my next guess is going to be a shock. I will check it this weekend. The sound is almost similar to an old horse and buggy creak/worn out springs (ekin, creakin sond). It's frickin annoying in that it makes my money pit sound like a pile of junk. Anyway apparently it's not the springs since no one else has experienced the problem. I've checked all my spring attachement point and there are no cracks or weak areas so I can't see how it could be the frame. Hopefully whatever is the source will fail and I can replace it.
