yeah. I've got my fans wired seperately. If they both kick on at the same time it pulls a ton of amps. I have a big alternator and that helps.

I tapped mine to a key on hot on the fuse box for activation and wired in a relay to feed the power to the fan. That way if some one needs to drive it its idiot proof and wont burn up my motor. seems to work well it does run all the time though, i got that painless kitt all instaled just need to connect it in.

I did the same but put a switch in the key-on hot wire so I can turn it off, but it will come on with the truck.

It was from summit racing. I had to redo one of the pipes anyhow. If I had to do it over I'd have used shorty headers and had an exaust shop custom bend the duals.

No real updates. Black Betty hasn't been getting a lot of love lately. Have everything but lines to put in full hyrdo just havn't gotten a chance to work on it. Been shopping for a tow rig lately so I can hopefully do some more wheelin this summer.

why would you go with the shortys if you had to do it over? just so they are tucked up out of the way? what did the pipes cost ya and why would you just have an exhaust shop bend them up instead of buying the prebent pipes?

Yeah, the long tubes hang down and the rear shackle can contact them. As for the pre bent tubes, one of them contacted something(i can't remember what) so it had to be redone anyhow. There's just so many variables w/ transmissions, transfercases ect that its just easier to have the exhaust shop bend custom pipes for the same price. If I had a 2" die for my bender id just do it myself.

good point. i wish i even had a bender! im just trying to get information for my exhaust that im doing on my K10. i planned on running straight pipes from the headers back but i wasn't sure if my transfer case would be in the way or not. whats the biggest and smallest dies your bender comes with?

Paul, did you ever get her put back together. Going to River Rock May1-3 for the spring crawl. You gonna be there?

I wanna be but will be in florida for SETTC the weekend before on the pit crew for one of the guys in my club who's in it so I prolly wont have my rig ready.

I am still alive in case anyone was wondering. I can't believe it's been almost a year since I posted in here. Black Betty is currently getting some TBI injection. Doubler hopefully this summer.

I've been lazy with the build thread but Black Betty isn't so clean any more but just as sexy. Maybe I'll find some pics tonight to update the build thread with tonight cause it's raining.
