I’ve been wondering if anyone has painted the entire grill (including headlight bezels) and had any success ? Planning on using primer spray paint or rhino liner.

Done the old grill and headlight bezels on my '91. I was able to peel the old chrome off of the bezels, only scuffed the chrome on the grill.

After a year's worth of driving it the bezels still looked good. Grill lost paint at bug and rock chips and showed the chrome underneath.

If you are going to want it to last, regardless of what you apply paint or bed liner, you need to get the chrome off. If there is any chrome, the paint or liner won't stick long term.

I'd try raptor liner. You can reduce it quite a bit and adjust the distance and spray pattern to make it almost smooth. It's pretty easy, just practice on some cardboard before you hit the real thing. Use a real gun, not the one they give you for free with the purchase. Rhino seems to be thicker and might gunk up the edges so you cant fit everything back together. I've done some other plastic parts (side mirrors, wiper arms and an exterior sun visor)and they came out great.
