blaze-cut fire suppression. i want one!

Common in boats to have fire suppression. I tn ember whe I was a teen my dad's boat caught fire at night docked up in the engine comp and was put out by the automatic system. He didn't even know it till the day.

That's pretty cool! Read a few comments but no all of them. I don't think it would put out an oil fire after a rollover. I don't know. Cool though.

The simplicity is what I like. No bottle, solenoids, etc. just tie it up and forget about it.

On that review though, i agree that there isn't much volume there.

Guess you have to trust the designers that its enough to be effective.

For $200, can you really go wrong?

Better than nothing

No not really. Better is getting something you know will make a difference.

All of our mine equipment has automatic fire suppression. Often the operator won't know or can't see a fire. Until the suppression has gone off. And by design the suppression is just to knock back the fire enough that the operator can safely dismount. It's not to save the equipment.

Here's a 7 million dollar pile of scrap from two weeks ago. Bet you've never seen a 400 ton haul truck on blocks before. Almost like Parking in the hood and having your donks stolen and left on blocks.

I'm not talking about 400 ton equipment, I'm talking about a pickup truck.

My friends car burned to the ground a couple weeks ago. His 2.5lb extinguisher didnt cut the mustard. He said it was almost out but then he ran out of juice and it caught back up.

I suppose if capacity is an issue you could get multiple tubes, but if you're that concerned about fire protection at that point you'd probably spring for true fire suppression system.

Those systems are designed for contained areas. Deplete the oxygen, the fire goes out. Non contained areas require much more volume. Hence deluge systems.
