DeviousK5
1/2 ton status
Am I understanding this after a few hours of searching previous post?
I have a pair of CUCV axles waiting to go into my blazer, I will start this weekend if possible. I dont have a huge alignment caliper to accurately measure old axle spring perch width , and im sure lots have done the swap.
The K5 is an 88. The Donor axles are from a 85CUCV(60+14bff). now back to the perch width. These trucks were set at 42.5 and my blazer is at 40.5, is that accurate? On another side note , why is it lots of people seem to call those trucks a 5/4 ton truck? meaning 1 1/4 ton truck?
This is not a matter of how, more of a question of width.
