Blazer bash 2009

...

Jaun was jumping and speeding through the sand, hit a rock, and broke some welds and bent the sh!t out of his track bar.
Then they got it good enough to turn around.

Then I was about to start leading the group again and my high pressure line was leaking fluid everywhere:mad: so I decided to limp back down with Jaun.
I got back to town and got a line and fluid blah blah blah blah, and was rolling again to meet up with the group and I heard a strange noise fron my rear end and my shim broke in half:angry1: I was done.

Im sorry I couldnt meet back up with you guys.:(

Oh, this morning I had a trailer tire go out on the way to the trail:mad: :haha:
Its kool, a bad day in Moab is better than a good day at work:laugh:

I am already sitting on butt at home. Did not feel like removing the rear end to fix some broken tubing and brackets. bent a wheel also. That go fast stuff is hard on parts.

I did not say I di not enjoy it. Had a blast even if it was only a night run in the desert and a day leading Hells Revenge. I got some cool swag too.

So, you came home early, or are you posting up from the Bash?

Rene

Everything OK?

Rene
Ya, everythings ok....I just feel terrible for leaving the group:(.

It was a challenge all day for me. First the trailer tire blow out made me late for the run, and then we get to the golden spike trail and my steering line was leaking BAD and got worse when I was limping back to the trailer to go to carquest for a line....Then I fix that bull**** and im on my way back to meet up with everyone and then my rear spring took a ****..... I decided right there to turn around and go home.

Jason called me around 7:00pm and they werent even to the crack yet:eek1:
stories to come.

We just got home. Had a blast:D and it was cool meeting all of you guys. Unfortunatly my buddies toyota broke and with a lack a parts in town it kept us from running the 2nd and 3rd day but God Bar Rim day one was awesome.

Pics to come shortly:laugh:

Well Fellas I got no Pics but once again I had a great time hope everyone else did too. Thanx ORD for the Hard work and great FOOD. Also Scott and Family for ALL the work you did,

I copied some of the posts with pictures to the "official picture & video" thread. As long as no one minds, I'm going to eventually get the pictures on a gallery page on blazerbash.com.

We're in Delta right now at Mom & Dad's; we drove over late last night. Today we'll make the rest of the drive home. I'd like to get some pictures posted up, but right not my computer doesn't want to talk to the camera. :dunno:

We really enjoyed the event this year and really appreciate all the "thanks" and "good job" we received. It's the enjoyment of everyone that attends that makes us want to do continue organizing and carrying on this ColoradoK5 tradition. We already have some ideas on how we can improve next years event.

I'm also very grateful for the attendance and support we received this year. Frankly I'm very surprised at the number of people who were able to make it this year given all the difficulties affecting many of us.

We only had 2 serious mishaps and of course they were on the last day. First one of the fittings on the hydraulic ram cracked loose, but fortunately we discovered it before we lost much fluid and it was an easy fix. The second thing to happen was I lost my cell phone somewhere on Strike Ravine. :( We went back and searched the first part of the trail with no luck. Of course the battery had died so we couldn't call the phone to aid our search.

Back in PHX.

My thanks to Scott and Nicole for all their efforts ; to ORD Offroad Truck Parts, Search and Rescue, Mobile Welding and Catering :D; and to everyone who cared to share a trail with me. It was just awesomely cool.

From my perspective, I declare this Blazer Bash a success.:pimp:
