If I'd have known it was only going to be the 2 of you going I'd have made it happen too. I really enjoyed the back half of the big adventure when it was down to only a few trucks.

Same here, and the fact we needed to get at least 8hrs of travel in yesterday. We ended up pushing all the way back to California and made it home around 1am this morning.
That's a suck drive

Took us almost 9 hours to get to salt lake
We were afraid of that so we stayed south and took 70 across to 50 through Utah/Nevada.
It wasn't from traffic lol I won't name names but the blue ones trans kept overheating...
A trailer is a good investment...... just saying

Don't know what you are talking about, mine never went over 184 degrees.
I didn't have tc lockup, once the sun went down the cooler temps helped a ton and we didn't have to stop
I know that you probably already know this, but locking the converter is very important. I have a toggle switch on my '70 and '72. It can be a pain, but it's better than not locking it.
The lock up worked before this last installment. Gonna have to tear into it.

In all fairness my trans is puking fluid right now also. I already started getting new parts for bb18. Plan b won't be the slug next year
