2020 Easter Jeep Safari Update: RE Corona Virus
March 18, 2020
The emergency ordinance by the Grand County council and Moab City limiting attendance at special events has been extended to encompass motels and campgrounds in and around Moab.
Guests have three days to check out of all motels and campgrounds, they are then to remain closed for 30 days. All the restaurants are restricted to curb service only at this time.
In the best interests of everyone concerned, for the first time in 53 years, we are cancelling Easter Jeep Safari.
There is no need to contact us, your Event fees will be refunded to your credit card as soon as possible, your patience is greatly appreciated as these may take 30-60 days to process. Sorry, we do not have the ability to retain your payments for the 2021 EJS.
Please note – the trail of the month for March (3/21/20) and April (4/18/20) have been cancelled.
A lot of people have concerns that the trails around Moab will be closed if Safari doesn’t happen. This is not the case, the trails here are always open as they are BLM, Multiple Use Lands.

Not like everyone else. The whole town relies on tourists. There are chain grocery stores or chain restaurants or chain everything the whole town literally and all the stores are just in Moab.
My friend that works at a health club and that is shut down, how is she different?
restaurants are shutting down, bars are shutting down. It's not just tourism.

Everything here is shutting down I am not sure if I am still working, rain has stopped my jobsite but I am on salary now so I will be paid
I think the difference is its the whole town. Like you cant go there anymore.

The wife and kids went to Arches yesterday, then hit the drive-through at Wendy's. She said that the rangers wouldn't accept cash, no contact with visitors cards. Wendy's was remodeling the dining room.

Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks is now the second biggest economic event in Moab UT, behind Jeep Safari. That means that the top two events in Moab are offroad/motorized events. Lets please be respectful to the residents of the town of Moab and obey all rules and be courteous at all times.

Yeah that was huge way back when I lived there. I can only imagine what it is now with all the dumbasses that have side by sides just around here. And yes I own one too.
