Here are the official trail runs for Blazer Bash 2020

Friday, September 11th......

Hells Revenge. Rating = 6-8
Meeting at Old City Park. Leaving for the trail at 9am.

Cliffhanger. Rating = 8
Meeting at the Old City Park. Leaving for the trail at 8:30am.

Poison Spider-Where Eagles Dare. Rating = 7
Meeting at the Old City Park. Leaving for the trail at 8:30am.

Saturday, September 12th....

Golden Spike. Rating = 7
Meeting at parking lot on Hwy 191, right side, north of the Colorado river. Leaving at 8:00 am.

Copper Ridge. Rating = 4
Meeting at City Market Leaving a 9:00am
This is the newbie, easy scenic drive. I have never been into this area. Description claims you can see the arches in Arches NP.

Prichett Canyon. Rating = 9 Group 1. Limit 8 vehicles.
Meeting at McDonalds. Leave time announced at the BBQ.

Prichett Canyon. Rating = 9 Group 2.
Meeting at Old City Market. Leave time announced at the BBQ.

Sunday, September 13th….

Steel Bender, Rating = 6
Meeting at the Shell station on Hwy 191 south of town. Leave at 8:30 am.
This trail has a long and short route, so those leaving Sunday afternoon can get out early.

All trucks and the Pigeon Rat need to be full of fuel, have all food and drinks ready to go at the leave time. There will not be an option for stopping for supplies on the way to the trail.

Well let’s not all jump at this at once!

I’m always down for Golden Spike form Poison Spyder through Gold Bar. Long trail. Great Saturday trail, especially for a small group of trucks. With the continuation of an experienced tail gunner, I would be more than happy to lead this trail again.

Cliffhanger is a must do again! Good out and back trail.

Steelbender is also another solid Saturday trail.

There’s my 2 cents. Look forward to seeing everyone there! flagwaver

I liked the 2 group run for Spike. If we go that route, I’ll gun with you
 
I always like hells revenge and if we have any newbs to moab it a great trail to get a general feel of moab.

Secret spire is actually a fun little beginner trail

I want to try pritchett but only with a small group.

Small groups are good. Just remember that the @r3dd0g group that usually runs that likes to GO, so you guys would be on your own for leaders as well as support
 
My favorite has been Hells Revenge.

Reason being......Love the climb and I want to do Hells Gate and The Escalator. The first time we went, I had a 9" lift and had trouble with the front drive shaft u-joint lobes hitting the engine crossmember. We thought the noise was coming from the front differential and didn't want to take a chance on something breaking. Found out Saturday morning what the real issue was. The second trip.......my K5 wasn't ready so we rented a Jeep and part of the rules was we couldn't do those two climbs. Now I'm getting the K5 ready for BB20 and want to try again.

I'll post up later what other trails I'd like to see.

I think our group has a wrap for being slow because someone in our group usually breaks, we often have first timers and when I was wheeling my pretty truck I was worried about scratching it (I own that) lol. The guys I wheeled with at fsi went fast all day and it was no issue for me in the ugly truck. But since I haven't done pritchett I wouldn't be offended setting up a group knowing it was going to break into two groups.

Actually had more to do with the fact those guys have run it every year for a decade, and most of them have coils. They usually run behind the rocks on their way out
We’ve always tried to let them pick who runs with that group so they can do their own thing, not unlike how the SLC gets their own group on other trails
I’d say for the most part, that theory has worked well

Probably should get everyone to specify what trail/day

after we hammer out some trails, we will be looking for leaders. Usually those guys like you, Keith, and @4door99 that get involved here end up being involved later
