Blazer Bash 2021 discussion. Online Reg NOT ending soon

Funny you guys were posting this, I saw something yesterday that said it wasn't cancelled.

I does look like from their website it is indeed cancelled. Their problem is the 250 group limit.

Back on, hopefully to stay.

Welcome to Red Rock 4-Wheelers
February 4, 2021 Easter Safari is back on!!

Earlier this afternoon Grand County administrator, Chris Baird and Mike Kelso, President Red Rock 4 Wheelers had a conversation, wherein the county administrator assured the President of RR4W that the county ordinance that was hindering the Easter Jeep Safari event would be amended by the 16th of this month. Which would allow the event to be proceed!

Red Rock 4 wheelers would like to thank the Utah Public Lands Alliance for their efforts that facilitated this dialogue. There are countless other organizations, partners, and individuals that furthered this conversation, and we thank them all, and genuinely appreciate the support.

The Grand County Commission administrator has requested that EJS attendees, RR4W members, and the 4-wheeling community send letters to the county commission in support of the amendment to the ordinance.

Well good for them!! What a cluster! But ultimately, for Moab and for the industry, that event needs to happen. Glad they got it ironed out.

Yeah I do that ALL the time. My spelling errors are just there to see if anyone notices......

This came from DOI/BLM. More stupidity.

I asked if this "means we have to wear masks if on the trail"? "Yes, when out of the vehicle. Or in a vehicle with people from different households."

Dear Permittee:

On January 20, 2021, President Biden signed Executive Order (EO) 13991, Protecting the Federal Workforce and Requiring Mask-Wearing, which articulates a policy of halting the spread of COVID-19 by relying on the best available data and science-based public health measures. The EO directs federal agencies to immediately take action, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, to require compliance with the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines with respect to wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and other public health measures by all persons on public lands. To meet this directive, the BLM is amending your SRP to include a stipulation requiring all persons recreating under your SRP to wear masks and engage in social distancing in accordance with CDC guidelines. The BLM is taking this action in accordance with 43 CFR 2932.56 and the General Terms and Stipulations of your Special Recreation Permit (SRP).

Effective immediately, to promote the health and safety of the public, the following additional stipulation is hereby added to your SRP:

The permittee is responsible for ensuring that all persons covered by this permit, including, but not limited to, agents, clients, customers, participants, and spectators, are complying with the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) guidance concerning wearing masks and maintaining physical distance. This requirement applies when the CDC's guidance concerning wearing masks and maintaining physical distance is in effect.

Pursuant to 43 CFR 2932.41 and the terms of your SRP, you are required to comply with this additional stipulation. Failure to comply may result in the suspension or termination of your permit and could impact your ability to renew your SRP.

Please keep a copy of this email with your SRP Permit 2930-2 form.
