We are going to need special permits.

If I drive backwards on the trail does it count as rear steer?Rusty nail is a neat trail. I'm going to make it a priority to go and scout Rear Steer. I may have no business there, but I'm gonna look. Rob thought a night run might be fun.

I got your backWe're in this together, if I drop in your coming too.![]()
Hey there. Is there any updates on the '24 Bash? I'm sorry if there is and I don't see them, but I'm new and trying to navigate this forum. I'd love to bring myself.and a couple of buddies to the bash.Ok Gent's I'll spare the gory details behind the scenes but fear not the application process is ongoing. The BLM got their post event payment for the '23 bash and application sent in for '24. Grand County process is rolling and now in the second year of the new system, it was a simple copy/paste to most of the particulars.
But to put it out officially, the dates are September 6th, 7th and 8th. I'm opening the discussion to what trails to run. Again, I'd like to break it up for easy/medium/hard trail types so all get a chance to get some time on dirt. I am not against covering trails that have been done, like say Pritchett Canyon for the hard crowd and some of the easy stuff we've done in the past. But given the large amount of options in the area it is entirely possible to hit up some trails that we haven't done, or haven't done in a while. This is your event so I'm here to be the Johnny Pencil Pusher to get the paperwork done but as always we've picked out the trails together and not dictated by the ringleader.
I know @Fastereddie did some trail recon on an interesting easy but really scenic trail that I'm totally up for hitting. So post up the trails you all want to try and we can get a listing together.
So let's get the ideas flowing!
As always if anybody has any questions feel free to post up here or give me a PM.
Excuse me while I get back to collecting parts to get the Crawlabago back in running condition...

Thanks for the response. I've been looking for the '23 regs with no real clear check lists for new group members. It's just I haven't a clue what I need to be compliant with the group and while in Moab with the group. It would be nice to have individualized check lists.Welcome @Bad Intentions
9/6/24 thru 9/8/24. Figure out you accommodations now, if you wish a hotel, or private camp site they sell out quickly, BLM dry camping is an option.
We will have a post for the trial fees and event fees t shirt sales soonish.
Keep an eye on this thread, and the whole Blazer Bash section in general. I recommend looking over the 23 thread to how Moab/Grant county has implemented new regulations for us to comply with.
I’d like to do that.I really like secret spire as an easy trail.
We do AirBnB, typically way cheaper than hotel.Where does everyone stay? Location? Campers, hotel rooms? Etc.
Hmm we need to get a definitive answer on this OHV course. Last year, and I may be wrong or misremembering, it was required for non public highway plated vehicles.Do you need to take the online Utah OHV course now? I think that applies to any out of state vehicle. A lot of folks stay at Moab Rim camp park but any hotel/camping is close enough to any other, none are very far away.
That's correct, but the course is on-line and super easy. Just an FYI to everyone, the Moab Rim RV and Cabins are already completely sold out.Hm

I’m on 40’s , coil-over’s and 4-link and I like the easy, scenic trails too!!Yes this is typical I reserved mine last year checking out.
Keep an eye on BB section, if someone has a spot and can't make it they normally offer it to members. Last year someone rented a house, iirc they offered to share.
As for check list
The group needs CPR carted members on ea official run.
If you have CPR or inclined to get one @ZooMad75 need a copy.
Equipment check list.
We are using GMRS Radios for coms. A couple of us can and will be able to program some Radios at the event.
1st aid kit, fire extinguisher,
Recovery gear, min a tow strap, and hook, attached to frame.
Spare parts, you know your rig so this your call. Things like fluids hose/s fan belt/s. Etc
When we discuss trails which will get under way earnestly soon, you can look up the trails and the difficulty rating, and recommend lift tire size.
Personally I am going on the easy scenic trails,as I am on 33s in k20 burb.
I'm locked and on 40s also and want to do easy scenicI’m on 40’s , coil-over’s and 4-link and I like the easy, scenic trails too!!
