Blazer Buying tips...Finally bought one....

Pics

I did buy the one that I was speaking about the most recently (for $1300!! w/no radiator or battery), I've been trying to figure out a few things about it but its pretty much exactly what I wanted, a little rougher than yours but its got the 350TBI/SM465/NP208 setup that I was searching for. It'll be a great project truck since its mechanically great and I can build it up pretty strong and right. Plans for 36" swampers, 14bolt rear, diy4x flip to replace existing blocks in back, lockers, regearing, new cheapo paint job etc, etc. Let me know any suggestions, I know thats been said plenty times before but it never hurts...or you could just ignore the whole thread, won't hurt my feelings,:D

*EDIT* Welcome MADSTER I just noticed that you've just joined, I only joined a few months ago but its been great on here and everyone else helps out a lot, just make sure you search before you ask questions that have already been answered.....

Looks like a great project! Congrats! Now get busy!!! LOL

Yeah, I just joined after just purchasing my '85. I did some searching today and found some answers to a couple of questions. Now I'm looking for some place to get some factory service manuals.

Sounds like you have a great plan for your rig. I look forward to seeing how it progresses!

Thanks for the welcome. This is a great site.

Blazer naming

So, I was looking at another thread earilier today talking about naming your truck and my girlfriend said that it should be called BPOR. As in " Big Pile Of Redneck".... What do ya'll think....

I don't know...some trucks would be called because BPOR means:

Big Pile Of Rust

Base Power Out Rageous

Big Parts On Road

:D

Not sure about Big Pile Of Redneck...it ain't that bad, is it???

B(e)P(o)OR-how you will be after buying parts for the Blazer! :D:haha: At least that's my experience! I'm sure plenty more will agree.

Anyways, good looking K5's!:waytogo:
