Is there anything available for the back of the blazer cab where the cap meets the roof of course it’s rusted there after I took the cap off. I’ve looked around and of course I haven’t seen anything. That doesn’t mean there’s not some kind of peace for that area. sorry it’s a 78 blazer 4 x 4.thank you any help appreciate it

I had to fix that on mine. It sucked...

The best option is probably to find a truck being parted out to take the roof skin from (assuming it's clean of course). You can just sawzall the A and B pillars on the donor truck and get the actual roof skin off cleanly once you're home to protect the skin in transit. To get the roof skins off, there are spot welds all around the perimeter to drill out (in the channel along the back, to the drip rails along the sides, and in the windshield opening pinch weld at the front. There is also brazing (or something like that?) between the roof skin and the top of the A pillars you can grind out. Then it's just swapping the skins and welding the good one down. I haven't done it yet but I am planning on replacing the brazing with just mig weld and grinding smooth.

Second best option is to fabricate patches from scratch and patch your existing roof. Mine was bad enough I pulled it off the truck to patch, but you could also do it on the truck. Be careful not to warp it either way.

Good luck, I have pictures in my build thread you might find helpful.

Consider doing full convertible conversion using 73-75 parts, eliminates your problem areas. Sourcing parts will likely require a little patience
