I've got my 71... I am wanting to get new sound deadening material, rubber floor mat (not carpet), and new front and a rear seat cover. Im having a bit of trouble finding this stuff. any help is GREATLY appreciated!

automotiveinteriors.com makes a very nice period correct carpet kit for our rigs. I'm running one with no sound deadener and it quieted me down substantially. A little dynamat underneath would get you out of the whole thing cheap and very easy.

Putting down sound deadner and then the rubber matt?

I was seriously thinking bout it, but then again, this thread is about 6months old too... :D

:haha: didn't even look, just jumped in when it came to the top.

Reason I asked was because I've seen those rubber matts cause rust way more than carpet would.

Thought I'd let ya know...

yeah I hear ya, but carpet is so damn hard to clean, ya know?

I've got something similar to Linex, a spray on coating.

Works slick, get er all muddy and when ya git home, turn the hose loose on her. :haha: (in my best redneck twang) :haha:
