Does anyone have any pics of the Blazer Chalet. I have been looking for one for a while now and they are hard to find. So the next best thing, copy it and make my own. Just need some good pics of the inside and out.

Any help appreciated.

Nate

....Blazer Chalet....copy it and make my own....Nate
Nate,

No need, these are scattered all over the country in various conditions, so that's why I borrow the eyes of my friends here at ck5 and four other semi-related forums.

PM sent. One of our Yahoo Chalet forum members beat you to a low priced Austin area Chalet last Nov, and is putting it on a newer Blazer last I heard.

"chalet2506" is in Denton, maybe you two can motor up to Ft Worth and scout for the Jimmy Casa Grande I lost track of there....

Thanks for the info. I found the one on ebay the other day, looks like a great start to go into my K5 but the drive was about 2200 miles, Man, thats a lot of fuel. I could build one and have it covered in fiberglass for half the cost of the fuel.

I am keeping my eye out for one in texas, even repairable condition would be fine.

Thanks again,
Nate

You can come take a look at mine if your around the DFW area. Its currently up on stands in my shop getting some 3/4 tons and other mechanical fixes right now.

id love to see the finished product if you are building your own...did you ever score one yet?

No, never found one close. Well not the camper, might have found a complete truck as suggested by another member. I was just looking for the camper itself.

I have had a set back on my K5 that is going to push the project back a little. Cant get a good trans in it. Swapping to manual.
When I get the project underway I will keep pics going.

I think a 77' is for sale down the street from my house.Looks all original and fairly rust-free. The way gas is going, youmay be able to pick it up cheap.I'll get more info.

New craigslist ad over the weekend, seller said he would confirm the #0086 serial number and send some more pics. Says it's in super excellent condition, 9,000 original miles. I brightened up one of the ad pics here.

....how much does that weigh???
I can't remember where I saw a reference that the camper part puts an extra 700 pounds or so on the Blazer...... so I'm probably wrong on that number...
I seen my first blazer chalet in person today.
PM sent to ya, he lives right there in Hermiston. Says the original Blazer is also there nearby, it got turned into a rock crawler. Funny coincidense, or else it is the same guy, I know about this other one in havocoffroad.com that is a rock crawler (pic below), but it seems unlikely this person moved from Georgia to Oregon
