Blazer Chalet

Only 1/2tons,I would put a 14bolt ff under it b4 you lose a back wheel at 65mph, that what happen to me ,it cut the axle off at the break drum.what was the moter that came in from the factory?

I think the last pictures i saw of this rig many years ago is when it was located in Utah.
My camper is currently gutted as i am going to have it remodeled soon if all goes well.
I will say putting 3/4 axles in her will allow you to step up in tire sidewall rating which will help greatly in handling.
After that a rear sway bar is much needed as well for good handling at road speed.
Any questions fire away. I've owned my camper since the mid to late 90's and driven all over the place.
I need to send an email or 2 but we have moved the owners forum to a new venue since the long lived yahoo forums are no longer.
I'll post it when i have an address to post.

So what is the story behind it? How long have you owned it and where did you buy it?

Bought it on ebay about 7 or 8 years ago . It was in Oregon. Back in 1976 a neighbor worked for Chevy and brought one home for the weekend and we went camping in it. It was then I decided before I go I want one to hunt and camp out of and I made it happen. It was not is bad shape at all. Had 102000 on it and that's when I started the refurbish. Power train engine, trans driveshaft u joints brakes, suspension sway bar for the rear. Big block aluminum radiator , steering and bushings a lot more.

That is sweet !!!!!!

Love the setup. Rear bumpers are tricky to do on a Chalet and that one looks good. I suspect you probably don't have many lurking around camp to worry about locking it up tight though.

Any more interior shots?

I just joined and was wondering how to post pictures of my finished 1976 Blazer Chalet
I sold my low miles California chalet because it was too good to mess with it and I wanted to mess with it.
I still have an empty shell that has some damage and that will be perfect for my plan for a custom build.
Good job on yours, looks good and you are using it.
I had mine for 10 years and put 12k miles on it.

I will find some and post before end of year. TONIGHT

I have a few more somewhere on this blasted computer. This is one before rear bumper was put on. This one is a C model and has bunks that expand out from under the vinyl at the top.IMG_1463.jpg

This was a friends ranch I was lucky enough to hunt on. Deer, Elk and Buffalo. Bow only.Picture 034.jpg Picture 048.jpg
