Blazer Frame

Wow, I was wondering where everyone might have gone from Blazer-net. Glad to see all of you again. I have a question: What is the difference between a 4x4 frame in a 72 Blazer versus a 72 short bed pickup? Is the wheel base different?? Just wondering if swapping the frames was possible?

Yes, wheelbase is different along with the Blazer chassis being stiffened up because of it being all one piece (no seperation between the cab and bed). The truck has a wheelbase of 115 in. The Blazer has 104 in.

Thanks for the information DuneGoon. I may still look at the powder coated diff's and 4" lift springs... I will take my measuring tape along just in case..
