I have done a bunch of searching and found quite a bit on mono link setups.

I like the idea that they will eliminate the axle wrap that I will have when the mogs go in, and easily allow me to move the front axle further forward. And, they are fairly easy to set up. They are limited in the adjustability, but I can live with that.

Have only seen them on buggys and a couple trucks. Any K5s set up this way that you know of?

Why would you want to use a monolink?

Why not custom build a 3 or 4 link?

Simplicity, cost.

The only reason I am even thinking about something like this is to gain a little wheelbase by moving the front axle forward some to help clear the oil pan.

You can accomplish all that (simplicity, low cost, extend wheelbase etc.) with a 3 or 4 link.
