Anyways, I guess we can start planning our time and place for the K5 Convoy from OC and LAC. I've never been there so I don't know the best way to go. 15,10,5? I know a lot of you are further south so the 5 probably would be the best bet. So any ideas on where to meet? Maybe the Irvine spectrum? BIG parking lot were we can't miss each other and all the freeways kinda end up there. I would like to plan on leaving EARLY friday morning to get 3 good days of wheeling down.

Any and all comments welcome please.

That sounds good to me. I was thinking about going out Thursday night, but I think Friday is more likely. The way I went last time was the 10 out to the 86S. That is the easiest way in my opinion. My house is in Lake Forest, right where the 5 and 405 meet, but the Spectrum would be a pretty good meeting spot. We could take the toll road over to the 91 and out to the 60 to the 10. I am not sure if it wouldn't be easier for you northern county guys to just take the 91 all the way out? I don't know the freeways too well up there. I am up for whatever. I am working on getting a good map and good directions for everyone.

Well I'm only about 3 miles away from the 91 so I would probably classify myself as one of the "North County Guys". I know Triaged is close to the 91 also. Maybe after you "southern"

guys meet at the spectrum, you can meet up with us "northern guys" at the Green River Road exit and the 91. There is a big dirt lot off to the right of the exit were we can meet and hop right back on to the freeway from there.
When we went to Hollister we met at an EARLY 3:30 am, but I don't think we need to meet that early on this trip. I was thinking closer to 6am. How's that sound? 6am at Green River Road? There's a Chevron station there with plenty of HOT coffee.

This is for Oct 5,6,7 and it's out to Truckhaven hills near the Salton Sea. I figure it'll be about a 3-4 hour drive for me.

requesting off work this weekend! worst case senario can i bum a ride from someone??? (ill help with gas and whatever else.) but most likely ill be up and runnin but do you think i can make it in 2wd with a 14Bff /detroit?

Esteban, count me in for the convoy, I'm not sure though, what time are most planning on leaving? I wil by then be moved in to my new place out in Long Beach,east on 7th. I probably take me about 3-4 hours. there are a few ways to get there, out via the 10 then south , this is not many grades this route, or the one I take sometimes is the 5 to 78 and out to anza many hills very scenic etc.
 
Hey 77 there is a seat open in my truck if you need a ride. You'll make it down there in 2 wheel drive but once out there I'm pretty sure you'll need 4wd. You can always drive out and then hop in with me or everyone else.

Larry--We haven't set a meeting time yet. If we go the 5 route we will probably meet at the Irvine Spectrum and if we go the 10 route we will probably meet at Green River Road and the 91(I think).

86K5- dang man your maybe ten minutes from my summer home (parents house right by the Long Beach Town Center) we should hook up this summer and ill show you all the local mud pits (yes there are pits in L.B.)

Esteban-Ill prolly make it out there with my buddy (no not the dummy jumpn over tow ropes) but ill try to pound things out by next week at the latest with you.

Yeah, I think the 10 route is easier on the trucks, especially if people are trailering or bringing RVs or anything. I am up for meeting you all at Green River, that sounds ok. We will talk more about this, as I know that there are quite a few of us that live in the "South" county area, just have to get them all to coordinate!!
 
I know there were more people interested about this. Where is everyone? Triaged, Raisedk5, anyone........anyone........Bueler.

Well as of right now, we are meeting at the Green River Rd exit in I think Yorba Linda off the 91 freeway at about 6am. I think Keith wants to set-up another meeting time for you guys in South OC to meet and then meet with the more northern guys(me) at Green river. Sound good to you? time OK.

Oh and BTW yes those darn voices are bothering me!!!

O.K. 6AM at Green River Dr it is. I think the best place is at the Carl's Jr parking lot. I drove by there today and the dirt lot on the right isn't that big so the CJ's parking lot will be better. That way we can make last minute wee wee calls and get coffee from chevron next door.

Hey Keith, didn't you say that you had to go to the Off Road Expo in Pomona? Well I just got a flier telling me when it is and it just so happens to be on our trip weekend. I take it your not going to the expo right? Cause if you don't go on our trip I'm not going either. It won't be any fun without you man
