I've got rust holes at the lower rear corners on my side windows that needs to be cut out and new steel inserted. I also want to install barn doors. I already have a rear section off another burb with barn doors, and since I'll be cutting off the rear of my sub anyways..... I know that the lower rear corner is different on blazers than subs, but what about the other three corners??? Has anyone done this before?? Seems like it would be cool to cut a foot out of the rear for obvious reasons.

I'd think making it work with a blazer removable top would be about as hard as trying to graft in the windows and add barn doors....

The barn doors is relatively easy. Either cut the whole back off and weld other on, or take out side pillars and cross members out and re-weld. I think bracing up the body and cropping and renewing the entire section would be easier. Should be similar to bobbing the bed on a pickup. I was just wondering if I already have to cut a section out, it would be nice to take a foot out of the rear. Maybe I could cut a section out and have glass cut for it.

I wish I would have shortened mine when I had it cut up. Trust me if you dont do it when you graft on the back you will most likely kick yourself in the nutz later. Yes I have kicked myself in the nutz.

The whole window is different well the front and the back top and bottom are the same but there just straight lines. To bad they never built blazers with steel hard tops then the grafting would be easy.
