Ok so here it goes
my truck won't start.
i drove it to work the other day, and parked it, after work i came out to start it and it would start, then die right away.
I finally got it started, and it drove home just fine.

now sometimes it will start, and die, after it sits for a while it will start and run, but now, it won't even start.

i think my radio was shorting out before, it was flashing on and off, and that was making the injectors click like a solenoid.
i think the radio was shorting out, and now it isn't any more, but it still won't start.
any ideas?

how long has it been since u had a tune up, i just had to replace my plugs and i had no sign they were goin to sheeot, i tested them and had like 6 ok and other 2 no spark and i cleaned them up and it started and ran but over night then it wouldnt start again, changed em out and now it starts like a champ, probly not your problem though, it does sound electric, when your crankin does it even want to start, prolly fuel pump

yes fuel pump is coming on, and the fuse is good, and i replaced the fuel filter today

check for spark...

if your by yourself, just squirt a little fuel in the TB and see if it wants to light that off...

i got fed up and wanted to burn it today

i am pretty sure it is a ele. gremlin, i just got tired of fing with it, and was wondering if i have overlooked something simple

pull a plug tonite and leave the the plug wire on it and hold it with some insulated plyers if you dont want to get shocked and have someone crank it over and see if you got spark or if you have a timing lite start puttin it on each plug wire and see if it lites up to see if you have spark, prolly something in the dizzy

seems like ryoken has some easier methods than i do lmao, mine will still work though, the timing lite will tell u which wires are working and which arent if you have any bad ones, im guessin its prolly ur cap, rotor, or coil though, all cheap things to replace

how could that be though?
like just now i went out and it started twice just fine
but then it wont start after that

Next time it does the no start, try the fuel trick.. That'll let you know if it's a fuel or an electrical issue..

I'm betting you have some intermittent ignition issue...

Do you have a noid light?

What year is your truck again? My ignition module was shot and acted a lot like that.

Mine would die after running for a few minutes. Sometime it would start right up, others it wouldnt start at all. I dont think the check engine light ever came on either.

They are easy to replace and cost around $40. Someone else may have a better idea though.

Mine did that same thing, as soon as it cranked it died. If you hit the gas as soon as it started it would run though just not start and idle, it also smelt like it was flooded. I replaced the IAC and it has worked fine for a week so I,m thinking that was it. Another guy told me to check the gasket under the throttlebody.

next time it dont start take the handle of a screw driver and tap the coil then try crankin again and see what happens
