blazer to cab

I couldn't find exactly what I needed in the search. I want to dump my K5 body and fit a cab only on it. If my K5 is a 91, what year chevy truck should I be looking for that has the same body type as my K5? I'm a bit confused--I figured a 91 truck would be the same, but it aint! Grasshopper has much to learn about Chevys!

I saw metrodps post some info on making a Blazer into a pickup cab . It delt with cuttin the topper and putting in a bulkhead. It looked neat i think he said it was don for some fire trucks or something I can't search for it buti remember it.

you'll need to find a 73-75 k5 crossmember or put the pu rear cab mount on your frame, i put an 82 cab on a 75 k5 frame, it was a direct bolt on but they changed the second cab mounts from inside the frame to the outside of the frame...not sure what yr they changed them, someone here will know what yr it changed.

The floor (and thus the rear mounts) change for the 78 model year. I got lucky and bought a 77 model, so my trazer cab swap was a drop on and tighten the bolts deal.
