I was at the store the other day, and i was flipping through the pages of a truckin magazine, and i came across this blue blazer that had a suburban top half welding in place of the fiberglass top. I was wondering if any one has done this before, or if any one has other pictures of something similar.

Or vice versa..Putting a K5 removeable top at the back of a suburban!!!mwwaaaaaaaaahahahaha lol.

Other than show why would anyone want to do this? Yeah it looks nice and it made me look twice but isn't one of the best features of a K5 the removable top?

hardtop blazer

i have the issue of truckin that has the hardtop blazer and it sounds difficult it was made by hills hot rod in texas and he noted he had to extend the quarter panels 2" to get it to fit, he put on a burb tailgate also

ford did it, with a four door bronco. it;s not a factory thing but neither is the convertable. it looks like a suburban, my friend jeff has one. kinda cool:)

hard top

i have seen the four door bronco hardtop as well i think it was called a centurion conversion

Even if it was for show, i think it looks pretty cool.I was just curious to how many others have done this to a k5, or if this guy was the first to do it.

he spent forever on this truck.http://www.hillshotrods.com/
see his work here. if you can believe it he only has one eye.yes paints everything you see with ONE eye. he is building another one similar with 42s and 10 inches of lift

Yea, thats the one. Thats crazy that he does that with one eye. I would like to see the one with 42s on it, i bet that one is gonna look sweet.

my only question is why didnt he go with the barn door style sub rear that is the only reason i would even think of it is to rid it of the tailgate and rearglass
just the way i think i guess
