Was there ever a Blazer or Jimmy from 69-91 that did not have a removeable fiberglass top? I stopped to look at a '90 with 35's today on a small lot (not because I need one, but because I just like to see what other people have done with them) and another guy looking at it was all excited because it had a removeable top. I tried to explain to him that all of them did, but he insisted that his brother had one that was sheet metal all the way to the top. Naturally, I asked if maybe the Blazer had 4 doors (you know, Suburban) or was a 92+, but he was emphatic that it was a 1990.

So has anyone ever seen a K-5 without a fiberglass top, except for the Chalet and Casa Grande?

"They tell me that you can make it to work without big tires. I'm still not convinced."

All of them that I've seen had removeable tops. I built my '75 because it was the last year you could remove the whole top.

I think the guy you talked with was confused!

His brother probably had a Ramcharger. Seems like he might have been confused as far as brands

I think the Ramchargers stopped with the removable top in the early 80's(? like I care

Rene's right, either that or a bron-d'oh! You'll be surprised at the amount of people who can't tell them apart (those same people have trouble voting too!).

It's not what you buy, it's what you build!

Sam you wouldn't be implying that 'Homer' is a Ford fan would you?

Mmmmmm....crappy 4x4!

Hey Rene, that's funny. If you remember correctly Homer was a "Canyonero" fan.

Just a quick question. I have heard of and seen the Chalet, but not sure what a Casa Grande is? Can anybody fill me in on this.

If he is not smart enough too research a vehicle as such as the blazer, maybe he should buy a stromtrooper.

It could be a shortened suburban with the 2 rear doors taken out.

Sometimes when the top is smoothed out with sandpaper and painted, it can look like metal, but if he said he had one, he should know better. BTW, there is a kid in my neighborhood that asked me the other day "are you the one who drives that Jeep thing?"

Even worse......
"...x drives that big white Ford Blazer thing...."
or
"...x drives that big white Chevy Bronco thing..."

UGGGGGHHHHH! I hate that.
