This is my second K5. I bought it from CaveBlazin, Spencer Harris.

It's funny how this truck got named. I swapped my 350 from my other K5 into this one and spent the first month after getting it working on it and hounding Spencer for the title .

My wife started saying I was always working on Spencer.
No, offense Spencer, but the truck is named Spencer.

Here are the tail gate wires

Check fitment. Still need to place some more bumper supports on there.

Ouch! Wreck looked like it hurt.

on another note....Is that a stick on cowl hood?:screwy:^^^

Yes the wreck hurt, but no worries I only landed on my head. So nothing important got damaged.

Yes, I think it is a stick on cowl hood. It was like that when I bought it. It kind of looks natural in this part of TN, I haven't really done anything major to the truck except the engine swap, it was my first and went according to plan.

Well,

As far as what I have planned, let's start with the current condition of the truck:

It has a strong stock rebuilt 350, SM465, NP208, 14 bolt rear with disc brakes, 10 bolt front with 8 lug hubs. Gearing is 4.1

Tires are General Grabber 35 x 12.50 on 16.5" wheels.

The springs are really stiff, and give the truck about a 6" lift over-all, I think that the rear springs may be from a ton truck.

I don't plan to do really aggressive driving with this. But safety is my new greatest concern.
The truck currently has some kind of bench seat from a F-150 maybe in it.

I am planning to modify the truck as follows:

1. Build and install custom 1.5 " hrew round tubing roll cage, covering rear passengers also.
2. Install off road bucket seats.
3. 5 point harnesses.
4. Install custom leaf springs 0-rate with appropriate dimmensions to keep ride height equivalent. This is mainly to improve off road drivability.
5. FIx the issue with the pitman arm, it allows me to turn tighter to the left and not tight to the right. Maybe a crossover will help this.
6. Definately some custom traction bars.
