Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

Dear @kgblazerfive,

You are not allowed to change you avatar. Saw you post on another thread I thought you were a newb.

Thank you that is all

So had the day off today, spent the morning / afternoon running around taking care of phones and glasses for the kids and stuff. Got done and did some work on the truck.
Pulled it out of the garage, pulled the third row seat out, did some welding. Got most of the passenger side done. Still have the roof bars to do. Then a whole bunch of gussets. Going to do grab handles for the front. Also have to do shoulder belt mounts.

I have tomorrow off going to do some yard work then get the fix on my $5500.00 drug habit, also known as my infusion. Then do a bit more work. Have to work for a few hours on Saturday. Then have the whole rest of the week off as in until next Sunday. Was suppose to be going to Full Size Invasion but truck is not done so going to be working on it all week.

First day of vacation update. Since I am not in Moab wheeling this thing.

Got all the tubes welded, yup all of them.

Got 12 shoulder gussets in and totally welded. (that's where the 12.0 title came from). Did five on each side and two in the front on the upper windshield bar.

Put in on each side a rather large-ish triangle gusset on the A pillar.

Got all of the seat belts figured out and tabs to bolt them all to welded in. Drivers seat and rear seat shoulder belts just wrap around the bar so did not need anything for those two. Have to still do the front seats crotch belt mounts. Drivers side is taking a bit may have to go buy a tab to feed the belt through.

Brother got me a bag of gussets for my birthday going to put a bunch of those in tomorrow. Then maybe start getting the skins figured out.

Kind of torn have a hood and fenders from a 73 they are rust free and straight. Part of me doesn't want to cut them up. Other part of me says screw it have not other use for them anyway.

So cage is done, as in done, as in no more to do. At least until I figure out that I missed something. Ended up putting six more per side gussets on. Pretty much every thing that may or may not need to be gusseted is now gusseted.

Sides are done. Rather like them hopefully they will keep the stuff inside when needed.

Fenders hood and roof are next. They should be fun, sort of
