Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

If you weren't so busy keeping your company running I would say do it. But with time as short as it is for you to get ready for the bash, I would hold off for now.

Focus Danielson! Wax on, wax off. Wax on, wax off. Sand zee floor!

that is part of the cutting part needed.

Going to have to cut a bunch on the front also. Probably pull battery trays and then do some cutting, then some modding of them.

So did some cutting last night. Took some pictures this morning. I really did not want to cut the battery trays up but I think I am going to have to. The lower mount may still be in the way. You can see it in the second picture

Going to pull the emergency cable/ pedal will be able to cut a bit more on the back then with it out of the way.

Got a wild hair and moved the turn signal. Looks OK and it works, course will probably bash the heck out, but maybe it will make me drive better.

So I still have to do the other side. Then both sides in the back, they are going to need alot of cutting too.

If I get time, which I will soon have lots of it but that is another story, I might even put in my Pro Stick but we will see, it is kind of for the Nova.

I am worried about cutting up to much of the inner fender because I still have a bunch of stuff attached to them. That would be a pain to more at this time.

You could get a small marker light added instead of stock. But for now I think if it works, it works:-)

Your rear fender cutting looks great! I think if you make the front flush with the center of the top wheelwell like in those pics and go to Autozone and get some small marker lights to add to keep it legal. That might work out. Couldn't you move the battery somewhere in cab? Older vertical marker light fenders could work too.

Well my end result is narrowed with different marker lights but not there yet. This was a hmm have to cut into it what to do with them result, and practice my sheet metal spot welding which I need alot of.

So after looking at it some more I have com to the conclusion I am pulling the inner fender. Going to do a bracket to help support the battery and move some things around. Make a bracket for the on board air, buy an overflow, which I need anyway mine leaks in off camber spots move some wires and stuff should be good.

I looked at cutting straight across even with the top of the wheel well but it would be into my battery tray.
I have new battery mounts but the are bolt/ weld in going to put them in the back somewhere but that involves cutting out the floor and some other major mods.

You could temporarily run your battery wires threw the firewall stock holes and put the batteries in cab. Just a temp solution so no major cutting would be needed. Not sure where you would go to get the longer cables. Sound Warehouse in Ogden maybe? Napa? That thick gauge wires could get expensive...
