Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

I think it would be cool to add some tabs on the fender and use a hard rubber or flexible plastic for fender flares that can be detached when hitting the trails. I can not remember if you plan on keeping it Utah legal or not?

Didn't you also say you wanted to narrow the front?

It is Utah legal 14 days out of the year, costs me $6.00 for a two week permit.

So have an issue. Rear inner fender is shaped different at the back of it then the front by alot. Tire is going to rub the snot out of it if it flexes at all and mine do.

So in morning going to finish taking out the interior. it should lose about 200lbs still have the rear seat in as well as the rear A/C.
Then look at cutting the rear inner fender opening a lot bigger. I know I have the fuel filler on the passenger side to worry about but I think that is it.

Took some pictures not sure you will be able to see it though. Oh yeah you can see it fine.

May do some measuring it looks like it has a lot more lift in the pictures may not get up that high I will have to look at the spring and stuff and see.

Smooth it out best as you can. The 14 bolt can take alot of abuse and won't break axleshafts like a 60 will if you are rubbing hard.

Just make it smooth enough that it won't cut the tire. I really think your going to rub the frame and stop the uptravel before you rub the wheel wells.

My 37's rubbed the inner fender well not much though, so I am sure these will also.

I am more concerned with killing a tire.
Going to look at it tomorrow more have fresh saw blades so may get some more cutting. The back is what is really concerning me it looks like in the picture it has tons of room but it is not alot. The tire would hit the fender alot like a quarter of the tire.

I think you will rub the fenderwells before the frame....that is why I had to tub mine, but maybe wheel spacing/tire width will be different from mine....diggin' the mods Keith, see ya in a few days!

my inner fenders are rub shined to a mirror finish on the rear of the blazer tub..fyi

So did some work on it today. Got the other fender cut. Got the center console installed. Checked the drive shaft figured out what my noise was the rear u-joint was not installed in the yoke right

While I was under there noticed that I was missing a motor mount bolt. Then noticed that I was missing all three of them on the drivers side. Spent the next three hours trying to get the center bolt back in after taking it out to put the three in, and its still not in.

Took a 7 hour nap instead of working on the truck, rather feels good.

got a new picture all my crap is still out side and stuff the mount is still not done.

I got like four hours free tomorrow to get the mount fixed then have to sleep and work a double. I will be excited when I can get that fixed.

If I get time I may end up putting in a tach, now that I have no dash pad. Maybe I will even do a set of gauges but we will see depends on that mount.

Spent another three hours today getting the mount in. Finally got it, ended up loosening both the frame mount and the mount to the motor. Then I gave all the bolt holes a little more clearance and it went in.

Mounted the over flow. going to go get some paint and a over flow hose and maybe start on the tach mount.
